Abilities:

Loken:

Pulsing Shockwave Aura - Nature damage taken increased by 25% - damage taken is increased the greater the distance from Loken
Lighting Nova - Deal large amount of Nature damage to all nearby enemies

Strategy:

Loken basically only has 2 major moves that forces the party to either stack on the boss or run away from him. He has a constant pulsing aura that deals more damage to players that are farther away from him - so the entire party needs to clump up on the boss. Occasionally he will start casting Lighting Nova - a high damage AOE spell that requires the entire party to move away from Loken until he casts the spell - then go back and clump up on him again. Past that just have the tank hold aggro and DPS can go all out.

skatje  - c'mon   |2009-01-12 10:07:22 Its not so hard, when u have a good healer. He can outheal the nova, so just hang on to his feet and AoE heal ftw! Easy (if u have a good group obviously)

gonsalwis  - hard as cheese   |2008-12-20 05:44:03 this boss is too hard ..tried so many times with both straths and failed ..stack on each other method and running away method..all the clothies get killed in nova ..something shud b done to this its too hard :(

Snippy  - Use the Line!   |2008-12-15 13:30:32 To do this on heroic its much more healing intensive!! You have to be responsible for your own health with pots and shields and any dmg reduction you have. (and yes it can be done with a paladin healer!) Also USE THE WHITE LINE! Have your entire group run ONE direction on white line and then back after about four or five steps. You'll have less distance to run back b/c he'll follow... making it easier to get up close again. I found we were only able to do it with the achievement of doing him under two minutes. He needs to go down fast and everyone needs to be paying attention!
