Abilities:

Herald Volazj:

Mind Flay: Channeling shadow damage
Insanity: Creates shadow clones of your party members
AOE Shadow Bolt: Deals shadow damage to all enemies

Strategy:

One of the most unique bosses in WOTLK - Herald Volazj starts off as a tank and spank boss. Periodically he will start casting the spell Insanity, at which point everyone should gather. When the spell is cast the boss will be immune to damage but do nothing and all of your party will dissapear and will be replaced by shadow clones. The clones have little HP and can be killed pretty quickly, and when you kill your 4 clones you will be able to see another party member and assist them with their clones. Once all the clones are dead the boss will stop channeling the spell and you can attack him again. Repeat this process until he is down.

Chesty  - Hiding works well too   |2009-04-12 20:26:26 Hide out of LOS during his cast and wait till he's done.. then resume fight.. that works too

Achilliz  - kill order   |2009-01-20 04:27:11 Kill order is : Healer, DPS, Tank After you kill yours help out others with thier's, same kill order. Healer should do nothing be survive until others can come save him. In heroic mode healer is really good, use any form of silence or interrupt on him. If your healer is druid, have him get out of "Tree of life form" when Herald starts to cast insanity
