Diablo 3 – PTR 2.3 Crusader – 2H Lightning Hammerdin Build

Hey guys, today I look at a fun 2H Lightning version of the Hammerdin. Although it doesn’t appear to have the highest clears, it’s plenty fast for T10/speed farming (I finish the G45 rift in just over 5 minutes), and of course there’s lightning everywhere with Thunderstruck, Schaefer’s Hammer, and Thundergod’s Vigor.   1. When i tried this build on the PTR i ran johannas argument as my main weapon and the furnace as a cubed item. Pro about that is you smash everything pretty fast, but you also run really fast out of wrath which is not ideal. Found a few schaefers but i never thought about using it. When the patch goes live i might try it like you did, seems to be the better option overall.

  2. Why are you using the Holy Cause passive when your lightning based (and so doing lightning damage the whole time instead of Holy).
    Just for the extra 10% damage on the weapon?

  3. Using a 2H build (lightning) with F/R seems to be a little bit more consistent damage. Just add Justice/Burst and cube the Unity. Then run CDR on your gear for more uptime on Akarat's Champ.
