Diablo 3 – PTR 2.2 – Monk Raiment of a Thousand Storms Set Explained

Hey guys, today I want to go over the improved Raiment of a Thousand Storms set coming in 2.2 for the Monk. Based on initial testing and some feedback I’ve seen from others, this is not only the fastest T6 speed farm set in the entire game, but is also likely to overtake Sunwuko in greater rifts. I explain the set bonuses and showcase the ‘Raekors on roids’ – it’s so fast that your clearing speed bottleneck will be environment collision. It’s absolutely insane how fast this set moves. Enjoy & discuss!

  1. Inna's will be cool, Sunwukos will be cool… WELL YOU CAN PUT INNAS AND THIS TOGETHER HOLY FUCK. Innas belt, weapon, and hands/helm/WHATEVER and then the rest of raiment with a royal ring. I still can't get Inna's weapon though.

  2. How in the hell did you get your dmg to over 600mil?! I've got every passive skill and every power you have, my dmg is 1.3mil and i'm still only crit hitting for a little over 300mil! Granted, your Paragon level is in the 700's, while i just hit 304…i s'pose that would be the problem?

  3. Just a thought now that this is live. Does the Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac reduce the cooldown on Epiphany with every Dashing Strike now that it costs spirit? You could use this to optimize uptime on Ephiphany and theoretically be able to spam Dashing Strike to your heart's content, assuming you also have your Sweeping Wind up.

  4. what legendary gems will fit this "set" best? Probably Bane of the Powerful but what other gems are going to be useful? Maybe some defensive gems like Esoteric Alteration and/or Molten Gizzard?

  5. Well for t6 is obviously better than reakor but the crowd control for greater rifts will be sorely lacking in comparison. Still an awesome set 🙂
Only would like that they would fix the issue when you run out of charges and then have to wait for it to renew even with 50+ spirit. The need for using generator every six second is already enough to slow monks a little I think (wish for buff icon so we could see the time better).
The first iteration was maybe weaker but I enjoyed ignoring the generator – same build but with exploding palm instead of generator 🙂
