Diablo 3 – Barbarian – T6 DotNado Speed Farm Build

Today I present ‘version 1.0’ of my spin-to-win DotNado Barbarian. This is similar to the old school double tornado build, with one major exception – it focuses on the damage spread of tornadoes to activate the proc coefficient-independent Efficacious Toxin and Pain Enhancer gems, allowing you to 1-shot trash mobs while moving the entire time.

In this video I go over the build, gear, paragon points, and do a sub-6 minute solo T6 rift. While this is still not fully optimized (2.0 will be even faster), it’s arguably the fastest T6 clearing build for barbs due to mobility. Raekor’s is great, but it’s too dependent on mob density and map layout. Enjoy and keep an eye out for the even-faster version!

Update: DotNado 2.0 build is up for patch 2.1.2: http://youtu.be/aR9mGIfjjxw

  1. First of all, this got me all excited to play my Barb again.  The WW barb has always been my favorite.  Any advice on how to make this build viable in HC?  Based on your current toughness, there could be a chance that you can still be 1-hit by an elite pack (or 2).  What could be the possible gear alternatives and skills to use to make it tougher?  Thanks again for this build and making this video.  I will definitely try this out in HC but maybe at a lower difficulty(T4) at the start until I get used to it also have the gems leveled to 25+.

  2. Thanks for linking this from the previous video. Going to try and find the gear to give this a try. Crazy, seems to be a downgrade gearwise from Raekors but still pretty time consuming to get.

  3. another very good build of you man, but does it work that also work that well if you don't have these gems in your rings? i'm just asking because if i made my barb this build and didn't have the gems yet and need to farm for them…does my barb work with this build then without the gems, too?

  4. Showcase builds in groups of 4. No reason to even play solo, other than using unity tbh. Show us how these builds work when the mobs have more hp/damage, how they would perform in a real game. Anything looks awesome, or feels op when your solo (and wearing a unity).. lol

  5. Sup Mikhail, i have optimized this build a little for grift gem farm, im using Hexing Pants (like you said), and some Physical damage. Leoric's Crown for Cd reduction plus boom of bulkathos and im planning to use Taeguk on the last slot, for more damage and armor, or Gogok for more cd reduction to pop WOTB faster. Using Bloodthirst to stay alive too.
Anyway this DOTNADO build rocks man. I know the potential is not that high for grifts, but im just doing grifts 32-34 with very good speed and results.
And the more important thing, im having a lot of fun playing this.

Tyvm for sharing. Srry for the bad english.

  6. You can troll with this build.  Public game, T6, Rift game.  Walk into rift with unsuspecting team mates.  Rush ahead, spin into everything the map, gather them up.  Drag them back to team mates.  Death everywhere, they rage at you, you spin into the sunset :).

  7. This build is exciting!  I'm excited to see it improved.  Some things that obviously come to mind are hexing pants which will probably get your fury gen such that you can use berserker rage and obviously a third gem.  One question: how in the frack do you have 1.7 mil sheet dps!?!

Quick tip: if you don't like using WW on L-click (I know I hate it), you can use COTA on left.  I can't stand using WW on L-click.  Constantly holding shift because you're nearly always clicking somewhere OTHER than where a monster is. >.<

  8. I don't have an IK set yet, in order to keep resource generation up, would it be best go Wind Shear on the WW, since CotA won't be up nearly as much to run resource generation?  The only other option I'd see would be to stop spamming run as much in order to keep the WW up, but that defeats the whole purpose and point of getting the damage everywhere, no?

I'm still early on, working on T3/T4 rifts right now

  9. Just a suggestion: for making this better in GRs where just applying the DOT once will not be sufficient, you can add the lamentation belt that allows you stack rend twice and add rend as a spender along with sprint.

  10. Bane of the Trapped for the third Gem is pretty good, I'm using a very similar build myself and can use three Gems. I'm using Pain Enhancer, Toxin and Trapped.

  11. How is your Sheet damage so high. I am running similar items; missing TnT, Furnace. Otherwise I am on par with you. My sheet damage is at 250k…very weak. If anyone is willing to help feel free to message me here is my Bnet profile. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Neilzilla-1220/hero/51263593
I have many mats to make aughilds. Otherwise I don't know what I am doing wrong. Do I need to re-roll a bunch of stuff. Yes my SoJ is intell…but it has good elite dmg and phys i rolled. Any help is appreciated.
